Roofing Options For Your Home

There are many different roofing materials to choose from when building a home or replacing an existing roof.  Some roofing alternatives are Tile Roofing, Corrugated, Cedar Roofing, Solar, Metal, and Composite.  Composite shingles are the most common roofing material, but they have the shortest lifespan of roofing materials.  When choosing new roofing for a home, you should consider the style of your home, color of your exterior paint, and how much money you can put into the project.
Cedar roofing shingles are a beautiful and durable roofing choice.  Cedar is a naturally insect resistant wood.  Cedar shingles are easy to repair and maintain.  The lifespan of a cedar shingle roof is 30 to 50 years if it is properly maintained.  The color of the cedar shingles can be reddish brown, if it is oiled, or silver grey, if it is allowed to weather naturally.

Corrugated roofing, identifiable by evenly spaced ridges and grooves, comes in several different materials.  Metal is the most common material used for corrugating roofs, but fiberglass and reinforced plastic are also great, lightweight choices.  Metal roofing is also available in flat panels or textured styles.  It has a 40 to 50 year lifespan, possibly more if it is carefully maintained.  The metal it is made from can be steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel.  For a more exotic look, it can also be made of copper, brass, or bronze.  Alternatively, the metal can be painted with a color of your choice.  Metal roofs are very lightweight and can be installed over the original roof.

Solar panels have be installed on roofs for many years now, but now there are new options for solar roofing.  Instead of large, bulky panels there are now shingle sized panels that blend in to the roofing.  Another alternative is integrated panels on a metal roof.  Solar roofing can help the environment by providing clean energy for your home.

Many roofing choice are available to homeowners today.  When choosing Roofing, Corrugated, Cedar Roofing, Solar, or Metal, for your home, check out your options, consider your price range, and pick a style you will love.  A quality roof will last for many years and can greatly enhance the beauty of your home.

I was getting very concerned about energy costs in my home and looked into having a solar roof installed. There are numerous incentives being offered right now to go this route so I'm having mine done in a month or so. My neighbors had theirs done a few months ago and they tell me that their energy bill has gone down drastically. That's what I want.

Roofing options are numerous these days, so I sought the help from a roofing contractor for guidance. I decided on clay roofing tiles which turned out to add a very attractive addition to the home. It also raised the value of my home when I was ready to sell. The new owners were very pleased with the improvements.

I was really confused about the kind of roofing I wanted to use on my house. All I knew it had to be done. I developed some leaks in the dining room a couple of months ago and my roofing contractor recommended Owens Corning metal roofing so I went with the recommendation. Haven't regretted it since.

Tile roofing is my favorite. They brings such elegance to the house and raise its value as well. I also like the idea of solar roofing to save on energy bills. I'm inquiring about my options andmaking a decison soon. Thanks to this site!

Asphalt roofing shingles is the least expensive way to go, so that's the way I went They do come in a variety of colors and the installation was very easy. My roof was done in 2 days.
